Based in rural Avella, Pennsylvania, Airborne Barn Corp. was founded in 2008 by Thomas Pflasterer, an engineer, aeronaut, cancer survivor, and a man who is very enthusiastic about continued learning, the engineering and testing of new ideas, and all things LTA (Lighter Than Air). With over 35 years of experience in the ballooning industry, Tom started Airborne Barn Corp. to work on developing revolutionary LTA Systems with new materials and concepts. As a proponent for the growth of this industry, Airborne Barn Corp. aims to share information throughout the industry and with the public.
